Walker Steps into Victory Lane at Outlaw

OKTAHA, Okla. (April 18, 2008) - Kenneth Walker drove off the pole and led all 25-laps to win the OCRS A-Main Friday at Outlaw Motor Speedway.

Walker earned the pole after picking up the most passing points and a victory in the third heat race. The former OCRS champion then roared the Performance Parts and Fuel number 2 into a quick lead over outside second row starter Mike Goodman.
The race stayed green for the first 23 laps with Goodman giving chase. Lapped traffic allowed Goodman to stay close and on lap 16 the defending champion challenged for the lead turn four. But Walker remained in front as the only yellow flag of the race waved with two laps remaining for Frank Sudduth. On the restart Walker led the final two laps for the win, but Goodman found himself in a battle for second.  Points leader Jamie Passmore reeled in Goodman after the restart and drove into second with a turn three move on the final lap. Goodman tried to take it back but ended up third by a half car length at the finish. Matt Sherrell finished fourth and Rafe Essary rounded out the top five.

Evan Sewell cruised to an easy victory in the B-Main. Brian Parker, Waylon Weaver and Nicholas Lucito rounded out the top four transfer positions.
The race was red flagged on the opening lap when Andrew Deal hit the wall in turn one and flipped. Deal was not hurt but the car left the track surface on a hook.

The next event on the OCRS schedule will be April 19 at Creek County Speedway.
