Passmore Earns Second Victory at Creek County Speedway

KELLYVILLE, Okla. (April 19, 2008) - Jamie Passmore just might be taking a liking to Creek County Speedway after picking up his second OCRS victory of the season there on Saturday. After winning the OCRS season opener at Creek on April 5, Passmore once again dominated the tight quarter mile oval winning the 25-lap main event over Matt Sherrell. 

Passmore passed early leader Travis Jenkins on lap 13 and led the final 12 laps on the way to victory. Jenkins held on to second until the final lap when Sherrell slipped by. Jenkins settled for third and was followed by Rafe Essary in fourth and Shane Pace fifth.

The main event got off to a rough start as Waylon Weaver turned over on his top just out of turn two on the opening lap and defending champion Mike Goodman was unable to avoid contact and nosed into him. The restart saw a yellow wave as David Dutton tangled with another car in turn three. Another attempt at a restart ended with another yellow when Danny Smith stopped in turn four after contact with another car in turn two caused front end damage. Goodman, who earlier won the B main to earn his way into the A feature, could not miss Smith and this time it was enough to send Goodman to the pits for the night.

The next restart was good and Jenkins roared into the lead with Passmore coming from third row inside to second. Passmore chased Jenkins for 11 laps before finally challenging on lap 12. The next lap Passmore made his move into the lead.

Goodman started on the pole of the B main and went the distance for the win. Zach Beeler finished second with Len Larking working his way into third. Keith Bolton rounded out the top four A main transfers.

The next event on the OCRS schedule will be May 10 at Creek County Speedway with the first ever wing/non-wing show.
